Bachelor Project on Image Processing
WS 10/11
The department of Pattern Recognition and Image Processing offers a Lab Course (Project) on Image Processing in the winter term 2010/2011. You can receive 6 ECTS points for the lab course in your master study plan (according to MPO) or for the project in your bachelor study plan. One of the topics of the Lab Course has to be orally presented in order to complete the course.
The Lab Course comprises experiments in the following topics:
- Image Preprocessing (Room: 02-005, Supervisor: R. Bensch )
- Pattern Recognition (Room: 02-005, Supervisor: M. Temerinac-Ott )
- Camera Calibration (Room: Raum 02-005, Supervisor: T.Schmidt )
- Autofocus Systems (Room: 02-003, Supervisor: NN)
- The Colour-Space (Room: 02-003, Supervisor: Wan Nural Jawahir Hj Wan Yussof )
- Active Vision (Room 02-005, Supervision: M. Keuper)
- Illumination Models (Room: 02-003, Supervisor: Q. Wang)
- Morphological Image Processing (Room: 02-005, Supervisor: D. Mai)
In practical experiments, the students learn interesting aspects in the field of image processsing. Hardware and software components are introduced and algorithms for computer vision are implemented. The lab course is intended for students of computer science as well as students of natural science. It is organised in nine experiments which corresponds to 6 ECTS points.
Although the accompanying course material is in german, the experiments and exercises can be conducted in english.
