Online-Monitoring and Identification of Bioaerosols (OMIB)

Project Members

Introduction

This project, which is part of the cooperative research project: Biophotonik financed by the BMBF, investigates new methods to detect airborne contamination (e.g. bacteria) in air samples. The aim is to first use a monitoring step to discriminate between biotic and abiotic particles and then to identify the relevant particles by their characteristic raman spectrum. While the project partners are dealing mostly with research in the area of interception techniques, spectroscopic analysis and system integration the Lehrstuhl für Mustererkennung und Bildverarbeitung searches after new methods for the monitoring and recognition of particles.
